Excessive Cylinder Liner Wear: Causes and Prevention
Excessive cylinder liner wear may result from poor lubrication, incorrect cylinder oil application, abrasive particles, corrosive wear, poor fuel combustion, piston ring problems, scuffing, or poor running-in. Prevention depends on trend measurement, drain oil analysis where used, correct lubrication, and timely inspection.
